The Meadows of Napa Valley is seeking an experienced full-time Chef de Cuisine. Working closely with the Executive Chef this position is responsible for assuring proper planning of all dining meals, skilled nursing tray service and catered events. The Chef de Cuisine assumes all kitchen, pantry production and tray service responsibility in the absence of the Executive Chef, and is responsible for delegating specific duties to staff members ensuring that all items needed for meals and/or events are ready when needed and that everyone is working in the most efficient way possible. Normally works an overlapping schedule with Executive Chef.
This is a hands on position participating in daily preparation of all Dining Rooms, and keeping the Executive Chef informed of any potential problems as they surface so they can be addressed in a timely manner. Must have the ability to understand written and/or oral communication, and knowledge of California State Title 22 regulations. Requires 1-3 years' prior supervisory experience, and excellent organizational skills. The Meadows offers competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a professional environment.
