Maintenance Technician – Timber Ridge Retirement Center
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Maintenance Technician will serve as the on-site maintenance for the Timber Ridge Retirement Center. This is a part-time hourly position that reports to the Housing Director. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in maintaining resident relations, program integrity and regulatory discipline with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Community Housing guidelines and restrictions.
  • Coordinate apartment move-in, move-out, and transfer dates with office staff.
  • Maintain and document necessary apartment repair and improvement files to show all work done to apartments.Use Purchase Orders to purchase materials necessary to building operation.
  • Maintain the budgeted Line Item Amounts (Miscellaneous Maintenance Expense).
  • Clean facility and maintain facility curb appeal.
  • Maintain grounds: spraying, mowing, weeding, planting and watering, irrigation system, etc.
  • Repair all interior and exterior needs of building, (i.e., plumbing, windows, carpets, painting, work order requests, apartment renovations, etc.).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires significant skills and knowledge of the maintenance and repair field.
  • Skills in the operation repair and maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the corporate insurance carrier.
  • Ability to read, speak, write and follow oral and written directions.
  • Must have strong organizational and human relations skills.
