The Meadows of Napa Valley is seeking a full-time Cooks to assure food is prepared and cooked in accordance with specified recipes and procedures. Cooks ensure residents and guests are served high quality food that meet standards of portion, doneness, freshness, and presentation. The cook maintains kitchen and storage areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
Position requires some knowledge of the food service or related field, usually the result of minimal training and/or experience. Ability to understand written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read and understand chemical and/or cleaning product label instructions.
Specific Job Responsibilities to:
Prepare foods for cooking, including, but not limited to, activities such as washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing and panning in accordance with recipe specifications and standard food preparation practices that ensures maximization of freshness, food safety and sanitation and minimization of waste, food.
