Description:

Full Time Human Resources Generalist
We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist at our Central Office in Medford.  We offer a robust benefit plan which includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance, deductible reimbursement plan, flexible spending account, and 401(k) matching retirement plan. This is a Full Time, Exempt position and reports to the VP of HR.
 
Position Overview:
To provide assistance, organization, and support as needed for the Vice President of Human Resources and the Pacific Retirement Services, Inc./PRS Management, Inc. (PRS) Human Resources Department.  Responsible for the recruitment and on-boarding of PRS Management Inc. and PRS Community Housing employees.  Will work in a variety of on essential areas that are sensitive and/or confidential in nature. Serves as an HR generalist for Pacific Retirement Services, Inc./PRS Management, Inc. (PRS), all Affordable Housing corporations, and the Community Volunteer Network. Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following:

  • Full cycle recruitment (sourcing through onboarding) for assigned jobs & collaborate with hiring managers.

  • Develop and maintain recruiting resources and relationships with job boards, colleges, and related venders. Manage recruiting budget.

  • Keep job descriptions and job analysis current.

  • Assist with leave of absence and ADA administration

  • Provide administrative support for VP of Human Resources and for the PRS Human Resources Department

  • Responsible for the safety program at PRS Central Office.Serves on the Safety Committee, coordinates safety inspections and develops safety training materials

  • Responsible for maintaining/filing of Employee Personnel files in the following areas:

    • Manage and track TB’s, licenses, etc.

    • Investigates and notifies VP of HR and HR Directors of changes in regard to regulatory compliance (I-9, Leaves, etc.)

    • Assist with leave of absence administration/reporting

  • Manage data entry into the HRIS system such as wage/salary increases, status changes, address updates, etc.

  • Responsible to create//manage reports in HRIS and Recruitment systems in addition to providing actionable feedback using the analytics to stakeholders.

  • Reconcile monthly invoicing and process regular recurring background checks.

  • Prepare and maintain reports such as the annual EEO-1 report for all affiliates and managed companies, the annual Employee Engagement Survey, reports in HRIS and Recruitment system, companywide turnover report.

  • Assist with employee wellness, benefit initiatives, and additional employee benefits related duties as assigned.

 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certifications preferred.

  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in human resources, with advanced knowledge of the human resources/recruitment field.

  • Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and Word, and HRIS database

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a strong sense of professionalism and influence.

  • Working knowledge of employment law required

 
Job Requirements:

  • Employee must be able to use good judgment and work independently toward goals as defined by the Vice President of Human Resources.

  • The planning focus is generally a minimum of a 1 to 3 year plan.

  • Job role requires substantial interaction with PRS executives, HR, and legal staff; the communities’ HR Directors and staff; benefit vendors; and new hires, with occasional interaction with residents and staff to handle matters of importance to the department and the organization.

  • Requires a high level of tact, persuasion, judgment, and timing.

  • Must have the ability to work successfully as part of a collaborative team to achieve recruitment objectives. Confidentiality is a must.
