Schedule: Capitol Lakes has an on-call caregiving opportunity in our Terraces - Assisted Living as a Resident Assistant. This opportunity doesn’t have a set schedule but provides the opportunity to pick up open shifts based on the employee’s availability. On-call positions are flexible and shifts are available on a first-come, first-served basis with a requirement of a minimum of 24 hours per month worked and two weekend on call shifts per month.
Required Knowledge and Skills: Current Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred, but not required. Prior experience working with an elderly population (at least six months to one year of experience as a caregiver is preferred; volunteer experience considered). Positive skills in communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationships needed. Previous work or life experience which indicates successful ability to assume responsibilities within a team context also needed.
Ability to read and understand written and oral communication and instruction is required. Ability to read and understand chemical and/or cleaning product labels is required. State of Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant certification is preferred, but not required.
